GIBSON DESIGN ASSOCIATES of Charlottesville, Virginia, is a design firm with a national clientele, having completed projects for the National Geographic Society, The Nature Company, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Congressional Quarterly Books, the National Geographic Traveler magazine, National Air and Space Museum, and Time Life Books. Of course Gibson Design Associates also serves local clients like the University of Virginia and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.

ABOUT GDA’S LOCATION
Gibson Design Associates is located on the downtown pedestrian mall in Charlottesville Virginia. In the photo above, our office is on the third floor directly above Charles Peale’s head.

Charlottesville is a thriving community of about 35,000 "Charlottesvillains", and is famous for being the location of Thomas Jefferson’s historic home, Monticello, as well as the University of Virginia—both of which are on the World Heritage List of sites that should be protected at all costs. Charlottesville routinely shows up on top-ten lists of America’s best places to live, and we agree wholeheartedly!

ABOUT TEN FLAVORS STUDIOS
GDA is part of a consortium of design-related businesses that goes by the name of Ten Flavors Studios. Ten Flavors artists have shared studio space—as well as an ever-deepening friendship—for over 20 years. The group includes several graphic designers, architects, a residential designer, illustrators, and a studio photographer. While each firm is a separate business, the members of Ten Flavors often collaborate on projects.
