These two books are aimed squarely at one of the Pew Partnership’s
main goals: the collection and dissemination of information
about what works and what doesn’t in social programs.
One is a distillation of research and the other is a showcase
of techniques used in 19 specific American cities that Pew
has followed as part of its “Solutions for America”
program.
The design makes the most of very inexpensive production
specs. Through clean, clear typography and excellent visual
organization we have made a complex body of information inviting,
despite the fact that one of these books is black and white
and the other is two-color.
