Litchfield is, perhaps, the most historical town in Connecticut.
They have a very active Historical Society that for years
has managed two significant museums and a research library.
Last year, wanting to take the next step of moving their resources
to the web, they called us up. One of the more interesting
aspects of this project was that the society staff had almost
no experience with the web. In that situation some web design
firms are unable to change the way they communicate about
the process, leaving the customers shaking their heads in
the face of almost incomprehensible jargon. The irony of this
is that design in general, and web design specifically, are
all about communication. We see it as a natural part of our
task to lead our more inexperienced customers through the
technical complexities of the web design process in a way
that leaves them feeling knowledgeable and in control.
