One of the ways they do that is to gather information about what works and what doesn’t in social service programs, and then share that information, thereby helping other social programs to be more effective. Their web site is one of their prime tools for disseminating this information.

This site is very information rich. The challenge from a designer’s point of view is to create a site where the line to the desired information is as direct and straightforward as possible. A secondary consideration is to always keep the user aware of his or her location within this very large pool of information. Take a spin through the Pew Partnership site.
