"Wow, for the last 36 hours I have had maybe 15 minutes of sleep. The plane ride was great. Jessica brought "No-Jet-lag Pills" so very diligently we took them every two hours. It worked. The in-flight movie was 'Good Will Hunting' a movie I've been wanting to see for ages.

"We stepped out of the airport in our tank tops and shorts to meet 52 degree weather. Sweaters were found and our tour guide was found too--a short woman with long white hair and a very strong accent. Munich reminded me a lot of Beaver Creek and when we got to the hotel it was pouring rain.

"We were given 4 hours to find lunch, swim, sleep, etc. until dinner. First Mary, Kelly, John W. Andy T, Stephen G, Jessica and I tried to find a bank. No luck. Then Jessica, Andy, Stephen and I walked around looking for food. Again no luck. Third of all, John B, Emily and Jessica and I got 'lost' and wandered around Munich for 3 hours with no clue where to go. It was also pouring rain.

"The inner city where we went for dinner was amazing. Huge castles and towers everywhere and, due to the World Cup, a huge movie screen was set up in the Central Plaza where replays and live bands were shown. Amazing stores.......... Susanna and I paired up and 'checked out' the guys. We met several, but by far the most interesting were the two 20-year-old Dutch boys. We also met 2 blond boys our age, but they were in a hurry.

"The dinner was hearty and I didn't finish it due to concerns for my health. My alarm is set for 7:15 tomorrow. Get ready for a 4 hour trip to Salzburg."
